The year 2021 marks
the Silver Jubilee of Pennsylvania Transformer Technology, LLC.(“PTT”). This is also a very special year where
the world is emerging from an unprecedented global health crisis creating unforeseen constraints in every sphere
of life. It’s therefore important for us to reflect on the past, and more importantly, to focus on the future.
PTT was officially founded 25 years ago, but our wealth of expertise can be traced back to more than 92
years back. Reflecting on the rich history of this company,
we began as Pennsylvania Transformer in the North Shore in 1929 and was subsequently integrated into Mc Graw
Electric and Mc Graw Edison between 1952~57 to become a major innovator and power equipment manufacturer in the
USA. The company was acquired by Cooper Power Systems in 1985. Ravi Rahangdale and the Rahangdale family
purchased the assets and intellectual property from Cooper to create PTT in 1996 and continues to hold a
majority interest in the company.
Over the past 25 years, the company innovated and extended its product line adding complex product lines
like Mobile Transformers, Circuit Breakers, Voltage Regulators,
Large Power Transformers and unitized sub-stations to its portfolio. We have been expanding into new customer
segments like Renewables and spending significant efforts to broaden our customer base with a long-term focus.
All these changes over the last 25 years came with great efforts, resulting in PTT being recognized in the
market as a professional company, which drives its business through knowledge, expertise, hard work, and focus
on customer service driven by a sustainable approach. We are recognized as a niche and a premium domestic player
in the Transformer market in the country.
To all our employees, customers, stakeholders and friends – I thank you for your contribution and continued
commitment to PTT.
We are all prepared to make this company stronger by finding solutions to the challenges of our industries,
investing in the business, targeting growth markets, focusing on sustainability, and making sure that we
overcome the short-term challenges imposed by the global health crisis in good shape.
Happy 25 years of PTT!
